— Great things —
from our grants
We’ve awarded $2,500,000 in grants to support community-based gardens and farms across the country.
–– Supporting ––
The gardens we support help communities by growing produce, educating kids and families about the importance of knowing where food comes from and providing jobs for local residents. We are proud to help nourish communities, many of which have limited access to fresh food.

–– Grant Recipients ––
Many of our grant recipients across the country donate the produce they grow to local food pantries. The Seed2Need program alone donated 70,000 lbs. in one year.
SustainAbility Services, Inc. is doing its part to improve lives: “Our farmers are adults who would have been sidelined and unemployed if not for farming.”
These grant recipients are very busy at harvest time: Athens Land Trust (GA), 18,500 lbs. of produce; School District of Holmen (WI), 6,000 lbs.; Decatur is Growing (IL), 2,485 lbs.
Our grant recipients are making kale more popular. One told us, “Kids LOVE kale when they can eat it straight off the plant, warmed from the sun!”
