I bought this on a whim since my favorite brand Near east, wasnt stocked. It looked good and I was pretty excited for it. Complete bust. It was very butter and tasted almost like plastic or soap. You know what causes that? Unwashed quinoa. You gotta properly wash tha saponins off your quinoa or you end with a bitter gross mess. It cooked perfectly, smelled great, was super fresh. I mean the only problem was the taste. Thank god my partner is a human garbage disposal, he doused the stuff with soy sauce and ate it so I wouldnt toss it out. Really let down. I have no doubt that if the grains had been properly cleaned this would have been delicious. Which btw, not being cleaned properly is a big deal for way more important reasons than just taste. I mean, whose to say the dirt or bacteria on the grains wasnt washed off since the company obviously didnt clean them well enough to get rid of the taste? I cook quinoa all the time, it really doesnt take much effort to wash it clean. Just run water through until its clear. Well at least now I know not to try new brands, stick with what you know or by the dried grains yourself.
