Field Days
Field Day gatherings provide an invaluable opportunity for lively discussion and important feedback from local growers and chefs. Participants have the chance to see first-hand how Seeds of Change organic varieties perform “in the field” and often take part in tastings. The input gathered from these events helps to influence the varieties that we offer for sale.

Permaculture Courses:

Urban Permaculture Course
June 26-29, 2009  at Common Good Farm, Washington DC
Permaculture Fundamentals, Designing with Ecosystems with instructor Steve Gabriel

Spend a weekend learning the basics of permaculture and urban gardening. Walk away with a toolbox of ecological design principles. Discussion of basic theories of permaculture and ecology will be mixed with hands on learning of skills including composting, rain gardens, and soil improvement. For more information, click here.

Practical Permaculture for Sustainable Farming and Gardening
This is a series of three five-days workshops held at Seeds of Change Farm in Northern New Mexico. Field-based classes will offer plenty of opportunities for learning outdoors and will be lead by Scott Pittman, Alfred von Bachmayr, Brad Lancaster and Toby Hemenway. Each workshop can be taken in series or separately. Completion of the entire series leads to permaculture certification. For more information, click here.

Farm Tours
Are you interested in visiting the Seeds of Change Research Farm? Our farm staff will be leading three tours this year along with our Farm Manager, Eero Ruuttila.
