Papaver nudicaule

Brilliant, papery 3 inches blooms in bright yellow, orange, and white have a sweet fragrance. To use in arrangements, cut just before buds open and sear the stem end briefly in a flame to seal in the white latex. A true perennial that is generally grown as an annual or biennial.
