Amaranth
Amaranthus hypochondriacus

An unusual, very tall variety from Mexico that produces loads of great tasting tan seeds on thick green tops. Plants resist falling over despite their height. A long growing season is needed to mature the seeds, but it can be grown in northern gardens if started early.
