The Seeds of Change Healthy Fundraising Program is an opportunity for schools, school groups, sports teams, or any other entity that might do fundraising to earn money for their project or endeavor through the sale of seeds. This initiative, along with effectively raising money, encourages gardening and healthy eating, supports organic seed production and the conservation of biodiversity, and also provides a tool for reconnecting people with the source of their food. Participating schools receive a School Garden Starter Kit that includes free seeds and garden markers that can be used to start or expand a school garden project, or as tools for hands-on education. There has been recent demand for this initiative, especially with the growth of farm-to-school programs and 'Edible Schoolyards' plus similar activities. The Seeds of Change Healthy Fundraising Program positively supports this movement for healthy schools, and healthier children.
