A distinctive Chinese variety with dense round bulbs and a papery, blue-purple pinstriped outer wrapper. Sweet, earthy flavor with moderate heat. An early maturing variety with a short storage life. Averages 4-5 bulbs per 1/2 lb. with 6-8 cloves per bulb.
