Short-day variety widely planted in winter months in So. CA as well as the Central Valley. Very high yielding variety with large flavorful fruit. Adaptability shown to other regions, although not very winter hardy and should be avoided in colder areas. Released in 1983 by the Univ. of CA.

A cross between popular varieties, Selva & Douglas. Very productive all season with large fruit and excellent flavor. Each cluster produces one-large extra berry. Does not need much chill, can be planted in warmer climates. Overall good disease resistance but mildly susceptible to common leaf spot. Developed by the Univ. of CA and released in 1991.
