New! Seed Cleaning Screens
Seed Cleaning Screen
Completing the cycle of seed to seed is a deeply soulful process at the core of sustainable growing. These high-quality sieves are the same ones used by our professional seed cleaners to test clean small batches ensuring that seed is clean enough to package. Whether you're saving seeds for your own use and to share with friends, or cleaning your home-grown amaranth and quinoa to enrich your baked goods, these professional seed cleaning sieves make it easier than ever to participate in this venerable tradition.

The hardwood frames are hand-crafted from solid maple, which is beveled and notched for easy nesting. Seed cleaning screens nesting Precision screens come in the most popular sizes for common garden seeds and are firmly attached to the frames for lifetime use. Select a size to allow the seed to drop through while retaining larger debris. Sift into a sieve with a smaller screen to allow dust and small debris to pass through retaining the seed. Additional winnowing with wind or a box fan is usually necessary to achieve the highest purity, especially when cleaning amaranth, beans, or quinoa for human consumption.
